Yesterday April 29th was a great day for the people of Tortola. We at IDEA are proud of the ground breaking work we did in establishing a world class cruise port opportunity for the British Virgin Islands. We are particularly proud of our bringing industry leaders Disney Cruise Lines and Norwegian Cruise Lines into the development as preferential berthing partners. This priority berthing relationship will allow the growing Cruise Industry to continue to expand adding new ships to the marketplace with new and compelling ports of call. This project again has demonstrated the ability of Private Developers working with Governments to establish new ports of call in a competitive business environment controlled by major cruise lines. As in our Historic Falmouth Jamaica project IDEA is continuing to develop similar ports in Tortuga, Haiti and the Dominican Republic and will make announcements soon as we look forward to the complete opening of Tortola Pier Park in the fall.
