The Oasis of the Seas arrives in Falmouth, Jamaica. The future of Jamaica’s cruise tourism has begun

As we watched the world’s largest ship, the Oasis of the Seas, arrive into Falmouth yesterday it was a momentus occasion. We’d been anticipating what this day would be like for over five years. There was no better way to celebrate the opening of the historic port, to acknowledge what is possible when two organizations work together, in this case the Port Authority of Jamaica and at Royal Caribbean, and to realize the accomplishment of my team at IDEA. Even more importantly, it was a celebration of the future Jamaica’s cruise tourism and the history of Jamaica.

For more background on the development of Historic Falmouth take a look at my previous blog posts and a video of my speech at the Cruise Shipping Miami conference last week.
